RUSSMAS is coming and Russ won $100!!!

Last night was so awesome!  I went to Sedona which is this beautiful New Agey city in Arizona because I heard there was a poetry slam there and I wondered if Russ would go.  He DID......and he WON IT!  $100 babaayyy!  Don't spend it all in one place, buddy!  (Tho knowing Russ, he will, at Atomic Comics or something!!)

Anyway, the slam was cool.  That chick with the pink hair was the feature.  Klute ALMOST won, and that other guy with the poem about his imaginary friend was hilarious, too.  He shoulda won, really, but Russ was on fire.  Just in time for his birthday soon! :D

Amazing AZ Comics is so funny!

I finally bought Russ's comix at this store in Mesa called Evermore Nevermore.  They are so funny!!!! Seriously, they're waaay better than the karaoke comics Russ made.  I mean, that one's cool, too but these are different.  I hope he keeps making them.  And Evermore Nevermore is AWESOME!  The owners are sooo nice!!  I'm gonna go back soon.  They had a whole poetry shelf and I think I saw Bill Campanana's DVD there.

WTF Lola's???

I think Russ was supposed to feature this month but it was cancelled or something  b/c the coffee shop was gonna close early?  That's messed up!!!  I got there late but it looked like a lot of ppl were there and they were all buying coffee and some people like me showed up late and STILL would've bought coffee but if Lola's doesn't want my $$ that's cool.  I'll just go to Conspire or something.  I like Conspire's coffee!!  I hope they serve it forever!!!

Russ's feature at Conspire last night was SO COOL!  He read this poem about dry humping which was awesome and everyone knew which poem it was so it was kinda like a rock concert where ppl are shouting the names of songs they want the band to play.  It was a superhero theme so the host dressed up like Wonder Woman and some ppl read superhero stuff and this one guy Ian talked about Capt. Callout which was funny, too.  I wish I could write like those guys.  Maybe one day I'll read at the open mic.  Then I'd feel a little better about meeting Russ cuz we'd have something to talk about. :)

RUSS IS FEATURING AGAIN!!!

I just found out Russ is featuring tomorrow!  At CONSPIRE!  I hope he doesn't fall on that step they have there!!
